Dear Friends,

                2 Weeks back we went to Akkarai ECR Beach with our Apartment kids and seen lots of plastic bags and garbage’s in the Beach , and Last Sunday(Mar 23^rd 2013) we decided to clean the beach with 6 kids and started the cleanup and created awareness to few people in the beach. In My apartment all the kids are interested to clean and create awareness to the people who is coming to the beach. Yesterday(Sunday, Mar 31st 2013) we have done the cleanup again with 11 kids and 4 Parents. So we will be going to AKKARAI beach  every Sunday 4PM for next 6 weeks and going to do the small cleanup.We will be talking to the people in the beach to make our beach clean. If you could please join with us. Also We are planning to speak to the Panchayat to keep dustbins and regular garbage removal in the beach.

                We are going to cover 1KM area in AKKARAI Beach, Sunday, Apr 7th^th  2013 .Time 4:15PM-5:15PM

Nature has provided its best to us and it is time we think about preserving what has been bestowed to us. A small initiative can go a long way in restoring our pride, our pristine beaches. Let us join hands and make this initiative a great success.

What to carry

Comfortable, breathable clothing

Sandals or comfortable shoes

Water bottle (1L)

Sun cap, sunscreen if required

Gloves and garbage bags will be provided by coordinator on the spot
